Lead Speech Language Pathologist

Gabrielle (Gabby) Mikolay is a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist with over three years of experience in the field. She holds a Bachelor of Science from Grand Valley State University and a Master of Science from Midwestern University. Gabby is dedicated to providing excellent care and fostering strong community relationships, regularly collaborating with physicians to ensure the best outcomes for her patients.

As the Lead Speech Language Pathologist, Gabby leads a department focused on delivering exceptional speech and language therapy services. She is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the department, supervising and mentoring staff, coordinating patient care, and developing treatment plans tailored to individual needs. Her leadership extends to ensuring adherence to industry best practices and advancing the team's professional development.

Gabby is an active member of the Illinois Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ISHA) since 2018 and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) since 2022. She has further enhanced her expertise by obtaining several advanced certifications including:

  • ·Reflection Sciences Executive Functioning 7 course series

  • Communication Partner Instruction in AAC Modeling: SMoRRES and Partner Augmented Input

  • SOS Approach to Feeding (Certified SOS feeding therapist)

  • Diagnosis and Treatment of CAS Using Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing DTTC.

Awards and Commendations: Gabby has obtained prestigious recognition from the Apraxia Kids organization by being listed on their directory as a SLP Apraxia provider after undergoing a multi-step approval process.
